What can be done to assist those with hunger needs?

Pathways out of Poverty:

  1. Education:

         -According to the 2004-2006 Census, 17.8% of young Illinois adults did not have a high school diploma which affects their future in the labor market.

    2.  Employment

        -38% of year-round working Illinois families receiving public assistance depend on a worker who is paid $8/hr or less.

    3.  Health

         - Illinois health uninsurance rate ages 0-64 in 2005 was 15.9%.
