On-line Donations
The Irving Park Community Food Pantry depends on the generosity of
many to help meet the growing hunger needs of our community. Now, more
than ever, your support will help make a difference in the lives of
nearly 1,500 men, women and children who rely on the Pantry to help
feed their families. Your donation is tax deductible to the extent
allowed by law.
Donate Today. By using Google Check-Out you can safely and easily
make a one time or recurring contribution. At this time, Google does
not charge any transaction fees for donations, thus 100% of your
donation will be used to support our efforts to provide assistance to
those who are in need.
Non-perishable food We accept donations of non-perishable food. We also accept non-food items such as: soap, shampoo, toothpaste, toilet paper, paper towels, disposable diapers.
Special supplies
School supplies: In August and September we distribute packets of school supplies. Items needed are: looseleaf notebook paper, spiral notebooks, 2-pocket folders, black or blue pens, 8 count washable markers, 12 count colored pencils, #2 pencils, zippered pencil cases, 24 count crayons, erasers, glue and glue sticks, rulers marked in inches and centimeters and backpacks in all sizes. Donations of school supplies are always welcome.
Christmas gifts: The pantry collects money to purchase Toys R Us gift certificates (to be used at Toys ‘R' Us, Kids ‘R' Us and Babies ‘R' Us) so our clients may choose gifts for their children 10 years and younger.
Additional gifts for children: We try to have additional small gifts for the children on the day of the Christmas distribution. Some years we are fortunate to be on the Marines' Toys for Tots list. Other years we depend on the generosity of our donors.
