Dedicated Volunteers

We are extremely grateful for our dedicated group of volunteers.  Without their continued work on a weekly basis, we would not be able to provide services to our clients.  Some of our volunteers have worked for the pantry since its inception.  Our volunteers are the heart of our pantry.  Without them we wouldn't exist.

Leila Duncan Award

Leila Duncan was the founder of the idea for the Irving Park Community Food Pantry.  In the 1970's, she delivered food to individuals in need.  Through her efforts, other individuals and churches joined her in her vision to feed the hungry.  Because of her and the other early visionaries, the Irving Park Community Food Pantry was formed.  One person can make a difference in the lives of others.   The Leila Duncan Award is presented yearly to individuals or organizations that excel in their community outreach and support.
